KABUL (Pajhwok): A renowned writer of Pashto folkloric literature Wali Mohammad Khan known as Sial Kakar passed away at the age of 87.
Sial Kakar worked as a university lecturer at the University of Baluchistan and spoke Persian, English, Urdu, Brahwi, Baluchi and Punjabi.
A member of the Afghan Science Academy Abdul Zahir Shakib expressed concern over Kakar’s death and added” Sial Kakar offered thousands of his published and unpublished books and writings to the Academy of Science in Afghanistan”.
Sial Kakar was born in Saranan area of southern Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa (KPK) in 1935.
