SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): As peace and security established in northern Sar-i-Pul province, tourism has flourished and more people are coming to visit interesting sites, an official said on Sunday.
Information and Cultural Affairs Director Mufti Omair Sari Puly told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Tourism flourished in the province compared to the past years as a large number of tourists from the north of the country arrived in the province”.
He further urged the tourists and said: “We assure our people about the security situation and ask them to travel to Sar-i-Pul and enjoy the sceneries”.
He also added that the rise in tourism can direct and indirectly affect the income of the locals.
Sayed Yousuf who came to ‘Angusht Shah’ of Sanchrak district told Pajhwok Afghan News: “I am happy about the establishment of the security and peace in our country, so we can travel to every part of our country”.
Sadiq Shah was another resident of Sar-I-Pul province who was visiting Angusht Shah area, he did not have the chance to visit this area because of insecurity and wars, but this time he brought all his family members.
