MAIDAN SHAHR (Pakhwok): Some students in central Maidan Wardak province have complained against the shortage of text books in their schools and urged the government to resolve their problem.
Education official acknowledged text book shortage at schools and said the matter was shared it with the Ministry of Educations (MoE) and it would be addressed in the near future.
A student of Awal Baba High school told Pajhwok Afghan News: “The students don’t have text books which left negative impact on their education”. He further adds: “every four or five students in a class have books”.
A teacher from Al- Jehad school told Pajhwok Afghan News “Only those whose economic situation is good have purchased books, the rest of the students do not have text books”.
Education Director Mawlavi Gul Wali acknowledged the shortage of text books, but adds the ministry of education promised to solve the probelm in the near future.
