Recent media reports an attempt at character assassination: Fazli

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) Former Chairman Azizullah Fazli rejected recent reports on forcing his way inside the ACB office and said he remained a guest at Presidential Palace for a few days.

On his social media handle, Fazli wrote, the recent report regarding him in the media were wrong and it was an attempt of character assassination.

“I have the original letter from Ameer-ul-Momineen regarding my appointment as ACB chairman which was shared with the Prime Minister's office as well,” he said.

Earlier, according to media reports Fazali along with his bodyguards forced his way into the ACB central office claiming to be appointed as the new Chairman of the board.

He urged media outlets to ensure the credibility and authenticity of their information and then publish the stories.
