LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): One person was killed and three others injured in a gun attack inside a mosque in the capital of southern Helmand province, an official said on Tuesday.
Hafiz Rashid, director of information and culture, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in the limits of 6<sup>th</sup> police district of Lashkargah city, the provincial capital, on Monday night.
He identified the killer as Naweed Ahmad who was accompanied by his brother and a friend. They opened fire at the worshipers when they were offering isha prayers at around 9pm.
One individual was killed and three others were wounded in the incident.
The motive behind the attack was yet to be ascertained but two of the gunmen had been arrested.
