KABUL (Pajhwok): The owner of an aluminum tools manufacturing factory is thrilled about the improvement in his business and asks common people to buy locally made products.

Sahib GulShinwari, who owns  Shinwari aluminum Factory in Kabul’s Pul-i-Charkhi Industrial Park, said at least 70 people worked in his factory where appliances from aluminum were made.

He said his daily production output was 1,000 kilograms with high quality, adding that electricity and improper places were huge challenges to him and if the government supported him, he could hire more workers and increase his production.

“Our production and rates are fair, for example in Pakistan one dish is sold at 850 rupees while the same dish is sold here at 200afs”

He said his company met most demands of the people and stopped the import of similar products.

“Ten days ago I got a contract of making 10,600 pots.  There is no major difference in the market during the republic regime and the current regime. In the initial five months, the situation in the market was terrible but now things have returned to normal.”

He asked investors to invest in the country and also asked people to buy and use locally made products.

Pajhwok tried to get the view of the Commerce Ministry but relevant officials could not be reached for comment.

Earlier, acting government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid had said they were fully supporting industry and encouraged private sector to invest.
