Baghlan: 8 killed, 10 injured in bus-truck collision

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): At least eight people have been killed and 10 more injured in a traffic accident on the Baghlan-Samangan highway, local officials said on Saturday.

Traffic Director Qari Nazirullah Abidi told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident happened last night when a bus collided with a truck.

Abidi added as a result of the collision, eight people lost their lives and 10 others were injured.

But Public Health Department spokesman Abdul Malik Malang said 11 injured people had been evacuated to hospital for treatment. One of them succumbed to his injuries.

Four people had been wounded in a separate accident in the Kalagai area of the same province a day earlier.
