JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Authorities in eastern Nangarhar province on Sunday banned the sale of cow and bull meat following the emergence of the Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD).
Jalalabad municipality officials say the ban on sale of cow meat is effective from today (Sunday) and anyone found violating the order would be dealt with legally.
The provincial Agriculture and Livestock department is also concerned about the disease outbreak in the province, saying a number of animals had so far died of the virus.
