KABUL (Pajhwok): China says the US has learnt no lessons from its failure to democratise Afghanistan and the muddled withdrawal of its troops from the country,
The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said this at a regular media briefing on Monday, when asked for comments on the first anniversary of Taliban's takeover of Kabul.
Wang Wenbin said: "Every country’s path to democracy can be traveled only by its people independently, according to their national conditions."
Russia’s TASS news agency quoted him as saying the US failure in Afghanistan had not taught it any lesson.
