KABUL (Pajhwok): The deputy head of the European Union Delegation in Afghanistan has completed his diplomatic assignment.
Following the completion of his tenure, Arnout Pauwels left Afghanistan on Tuesday, the envoy tweeted.
Pauwels wrote he had experienced turbulent times in Afghanistan, where the Taliban returned to power last year, during his tenure.
He added: “You can take the diplomat out of AFG, but you can’t take AFG out of the diplomat. Turbulent times. An honor having been hosted by the country & the people.”
