KABUL (Pajhwok): More than 320 Afghan refugees have landed in the Manitoba province of Canada, says a media report.
Aboard a charter flight from Pakistan, 324 Afghans reached Winnipeg, the capital of Manitoba, on Friday morning.
The Afghan refugees would be resettled in Canada, according to CTV, which reported the government in Ottawa had promised to resettle 40,000 Afghans.
Some 17,600 Afghans have so far found their way to Canada under a humanitarian scheme and a special immigration programme for Afghans who assisted the Canadian government.
