PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Pakistan has vehemently denied the use of its airspace for the US drone strike that killed Al Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri.
The denial came on Sunday hours after Afghan Defence Minister Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid accused Pakistan of providing airspace for US drones to enter his country.
Mujahid told a media briefing in Kabul: “Our information shows US drones are entering into Afghanistan from Pakistan, using the airspace of Pakistan.”
In reaction to Mujahid’s claims, the Foreign Office spokesman said Pakistan had noted Mujahid’s allegation with “deep concern”.
