PARAKH (Pajhwok): Hameed Khurasani, a former deputy police chief for central Panjsher province, says he has refused to work in the security sector and has handed over weapons and equipment to the authorities. He will not join any anti-government group, he promises.
Soon after the Taliban takeover, Khurasani was appointed as deputy police chief for Panjsher. Removed a few months later, he spearheaded his own armed unit in the strategic province.
