HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): An alcohol-laden vehicle has been seized and a drug process factory destroyed in western Herat province, an official said on Tuesday.
Police Spokesman Mohammad Shah Rasouli told Pajhwok Afghan News that anti-narcotics personnel in coordination with the customs department seized 25,000 liters of alcohol while entering the customs department.
According to Rasoul, the alcohol was skillfully hidden in a transit truck and entered Afghanistan from the UAE through the port of Islam Qala, and was seized.
According to another report, a drug processing factory was destroyed by security forces in the Oba district.
