KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations on Sunday renewed its call for the ‘Islamic Emirate Afghanistan’ administration to take urgent measures to reopen high schools for all.
On the first anniversary of the exclusion of girls from high schools, the acting-head of UNAMA said: “This is a tragic, shameful, and entirely avoidable anniversary.”
Markus Potzel remarked: “The ongoing exclusion of girls from high school has no credible justification and has no parallel anywhere in the world.”
