KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Afghan government and Turkish companies have agreed over the formation of joint working groups to promote bilateral trade and investment, an official said on Wednesday.
A Turkish delegation will visit Kabul regarding mutual investment and trade.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Abdul Qahar Balkhi on his Twitter handle wrote: “The Department of Economic Affairs of MoFA in cooperation with the Afghan Embassy in Türkiye held an online meeting to discuss bilateral economic opportunities. The meeting included the head of economic affairs of the New Welfare Party & representatives of Türkiye's agriculture, construction & mining sectors, while the Afghan side included representatives from Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Mines, Trade, Finance & Chambers of Commerce and Industry.”
He added: “The meeting focused on mining, transportation, agriculture & trade opportunities in Afghanistan along with export & import routes. The two sides agreed on forming a joint working team to work on investment & bilateral trade growth, adding that a competent high-level delegation from Türkiye will visit Kabul to reach an agreement with Afghan traders & other sectoral ministries.”
