5 killed in clash between two families in Laghman

MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Five people were killed during an armed clash between two families in the Dawlat Shah district of eastern Laghman province, an official said on Thursday.

Qari Abdul QahirMutawakil, administrative chief for Dawlat Shah district, told Pajhwok Afghan News a gun battle triggered by a verbal clash took place in Farshghan Dara area on Wednesday evening.

He added father, mother and son were killed from one side and from the other side a couple was killed.

Security forces arrested eight people and confiscated four weapons from the scene.
