NEILI (Pajhwok): At least two persons were killed and nine others injured in a traffic accident in the Meramoor district of the central Daikundi province on Wednesday, an official said.
Police Spokesperson Mohammad Ali Fedaee said that a van has veered off from the road and overturned which killed two women while nine others, including men and women got injured.
The incident happened at 12:00 o’clock while a van along with 14 passengers on board mostly women was heading from Warsal village to Sangaan village, Fedaee said.
Fedaee stated the conditions of some injured was critical and a health team was dispatched to the area for rescue operation.
Security officials said that most of such fatal incidents have happened in Meramoor district during the past one year.
