KABUL (Pajhwok): Microsoft founder Bill Gates says he may meet ‘Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’ leaders if it helps the war-torn country get rid of polio.
In an interview with a British newspaper, the US billionaire "Honestly, I don't know if there's some sensitivity around that.”
The Telegraph quoted him as saying: “I would do pretty much anything to help the polio campaign there; it's the Foundation's top priority.”
The foundation's allies had already met the Taliban in Qatar, Gates revealed, expressing his pleasure over the movement’s retention of the previous health minister.
