16 suspected criminals detained in Kunduz

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Sixteen suspected criminals have been detained in connection with different offences in northern Kunduz province, police said on Friday.

Arrested in the past 24 hours, the suspects were involved in crimes like thefts, gambling, drug sales and smuggling, the police headquarters said.

In preliminary investigations, the detainees are said to have confessed to their crimes, according to a statement from the police headquarters.

Cases against the detainees have been referred to judicial organs.
