QALA-I-NAW (Pajhwok): One woman was killed and another wounded when a security official mistakenly opened fire at them in western Badghis province.
The security man has been detained and currently being interrogated, the governor’s house said in a statement. The incident took place in Qados district on Tuesday evening.
The statement stressed the incident took place mistakenly.
A relative of the women, who did not want to be named, told Pajhwok that both the women were relatives --- aunt and niece. They had gone to the market for shopping.
