TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Unknown gunmen shot dead an elderly man after beating him severally in the Chinartu district of central Uruzgan province, an official said on Thursday.
The slain person whose daughter works as a midwife in a health center in the district lived with his daughter, said Public Health Director Dr. Mohammadullah Rohani.
He told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident happened late yesterday in Chaka Joy area of Chinartu district.
The deceased person originally hailed from Khas Uruzgan district and his daughter works as a midwife in the health center of Chaka Joy area.
