15 water supply networks inaugurated in Bamyan

BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Fifteen water supply projects costing $152,000 were inaugurated in central Bamyan province on Sunday.

Mullah ZiaullahKhadem, director of rural rehabilitation and development, told Pajhwok Afghan News the water supply networks were inaugurated in Chehel Burj, Jamil, Sarmarghi, AabTak, Sarbom, Shenia, Jangalak, and two districts of Yakawlang and Yakawlang Du.

He said the projects were funded by the Office of Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and implemented and monitored by the rural development department.

Mohammad Chaman, a resident, told Pajhwok that lack of clean drinking water was one of their main problems.

According to him, the water supply networks will solve the problem of lack of healthy water for residents of this region.
