KABUL (Pajhwok): In a significant retreat and potential turning point in the war, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has ordered his troops to withdraw from the parts of southern Ukrainian City of Kherson, according to a media report on Thursday.
A report in Dawn.com said that Ukraine reacted with caution to the announcement, saying some Russian forces were still in Kherson.
“Until the Ukrainian flag is flying over Kherson, it makes no sense to talk about a Russian withdrawal,” Mykhailo Podolyak, a senior adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, said in a statement to Reuters.
