ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Security forces in Nimroz province have rescued a trader and arrested five alleged kidnappers, local officials said on Saturday.
The Information and Culture Department said: “The security forces, led by Governor Mullah Najibullah Rafi, rescued trader Haji Mahmood and arrested five alleged kidnappers during an operation in the second police district of Zaranj.”
The governor told Pajhwok Afghan News Mahmood, who had been kidnapped 19 days ago, had been reunited his family after his release.
Rafi praised cooperation from residents in maintaining security and urged people to continue supporting the government.
