KABUL (Pajhwok): US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West says food assistance severely needed in Afghanistan.
West tweeted that the World Food Programme (WFP) support is vital to the people of Afghanistan in supplying food assistance.
He wrote: “Food assistance needs are severe, and WFP plays a critical role. The U.S. is WFP’s lead donor in Afghanistan, providing over $460 million in FY2022. Our commitment to the Afghan people is unwavering.”
