KABUL (Pajhwok): International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Director of Operations Martin Schüepp has arrived in Kabul for talks with Afghan officials on the current situation in the country.
Schüepp tweeted: “I’m in Afghanistan to speak with communities and authorities. People’s lives have been severely affected by decades of conflict and economic hardship.”
He wrote the Afghans were exhausted and cruelly exposed to food shortages, diseases and poverty.
