PULIKHUMRI (Pajhwok): Over 141 people were killed and 1,336 others injured in traffic accidents in northern Baghlan province in the past 8 months, officials said on Wednesday.
Police Spokesperson Mawlavi Sher Ahmad Burhani told Pajhwok Afghan News that their department has registered over 200 traffic accidents during the past eight months which caused to 141 fatalities.
Negligence of the drivers from the traffic rules was the common reason behind traffic accidents, Burhani said.
The traffic police officers are advised to prevent those drivers who do not hold driving licenses from driving, Burhani added.
