50-bed Hospital opened in Balkh’s Dehdadi district

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): A 50-Bed hospital in the Dehdadi district of northern Balkh province has been opened for public service, an official said on Friday.

Public Health Director Dr. Najibullah Tawana said the hospital has been built on three acres of land at the cost of 69 million afs and will address the health issues of Dehdadi and neighbouring districts.

He added the hospital is furnished with equipment worth 75 million afs and has the internal medicine, neurology, gynecology, general surgery, physiotherapy and dentistry braches.

Plan and Policy Assistant Head of the Public Health Ministry Dr. Hassan Ghyasi said the ministry strived to provide all types of health services to the masses in every part of the country.

Meanwhile, the residents of Dihdadi district were happy about the opening of the new hospital and said there won’t be any need that public shall go to other places for treatment.

Haji Nazar Mohammad , elder of the Khawaja Farooq village, said in the past sick persons of their district used to travel to Balkh Zonal Hospital, sometimes patients died on their way to hospital.

He hoped that now most of the ill people will be provided treatment at their door-step and there would be no need to send them to other places.
