AIBAK (Pajhowk): At least 15 people were killed and 24 others wounded as a result of a bomb explosion in the capital of northern Samangan province on Wednesday.
The blast took place inside a seminary “Al-Jahadia” in Shahristan area shortly after 1pm.
Police spokesman Munir Rahimi confirmed the explosion and said details would be shared later.
Dr. Mohammadullah Muradi, an official of the Provincial Hospital, told Pajhwok that 15 bodies and 24 injured had been brought to the hospital from the scene.
He said students and officials of the seminary were among the victims.
However, government officials provided no details in this regard.
