KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Information and Culture confirmed on Thursday that Radio Azadi broadcasts have been banned in 13 cities of Afghanistan.
The radio station was flouting IEA’s rules and regulations, alleged a senior ministry official, who tweeted: “This radio broadcasts one-sided news in violation of journalistic ethics.”
Abdul Haq Hammad wrote: “Radio Azadi broadcasts have been stopped due to non-compliance with journalistic principles and one-sided reporting.”
A day earlier, the Voice of America announced the Taliban administration had banned FM radio broadcasts from VOA and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in Afghanistan.
