KABUL (Pajhwok): US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Process Thomas West and his delegation met Japanese government officials and discussed issues related to Afghanistan.
On his Twitter handle West wrote: “Discussed way ahead on humanitarian needs, human rights, and political dialogue with @MofaJapan_en Got sage advice from Ambassador Tadamichi Yamamoto. Talked econ strategy with @jica_usa.”
He said: “Japan has been a friend of the Afghan people and our partner there for over 20 yrs, and we deeply appreciate Japan’s active diplomacy and continued generosity today . . .
