MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): At least eight people were killed and nine others wounded as a result explosion in the capital of northern Balkh province on Monday.
The blast took place in limits of 3rd police district of Mazar-i-Sharif at around 7:00am.
Police spokesman Mohammad Asif Waziri told Pajhwok Afghan News that a roadside bomb hit the vehicle of employees of the Gas and Petroleum Department.
He said seven people were killed and six others wounded in the blast.
Dr. Najibullah Tawana, director of public health, confirmed receiving eight bodies and nine injured from the blast site . . .
