NELLI (Pajhwok): Some residents of central Daikundi province have expressed happiness on the establishment of peace and stability and said they were the real victims of conflict and now they could live a peaceful life.
They said they paid a heavy price for the conflict and now they could move forward under peace and stability.
Aman, one of the businessmen, in Daikundi, said in the past he struggled for the marketing of his business and was unable to invest in a proper manner to ensure a better life for himself and his family.
“After the takeover of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan there was a big shift in the security. In the past we faced problems while transferring goods, there used to be fighting in the way and roads used to be blocked for seven to eight hours,” he said.
He added, in the past they suffered a lot, in some areas dacoits stolen their goods and even they got tortured at the hands of robbers.
He said now the security situation had improved and they are able to move freely and transfer their goods everywhere.
Behzad, another resident of Daikundi, told Pajhwok Afghan News in the past one of the greater concern of the people was security. Individuals working in every field were worried but now a great opportunity was available.
“I was unable to move to another place for work or study, my family did not allow me, there were thieves and this cost me that I remained illiterate and have no work as well.”
Now that security situation had improved the people of Daikundi could travel during the day and night and push forward their business and work.
Police Spokesperson Ghulam Ali Javid said security situation had improved in Daikundi and there was not threat.
