KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Finance Minister Mawlavi Hidayatullah Badri has visited the under construction Qoush Tapa Canal and pledged to ensure the provision of funds for the project from national resources.
According to Bakhtar News Agency, acting Finance Minister Badri visited the construction of Qoush Tapa Canal and pledged the completion of vital irrigation project.
During the visit he renewed the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) commitment to complete the project in every circumstance.
The Qoush Tapa Canal will bring 10 billion cubic meter water from Amu River and will irrigate 500,000 hectares of land in Balkh, Faryab and Jawzjan provinces.
The Afghanistan National Development Shirkat is executing the project at the cost of 60 billion afs.
