MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): One hundred and thirty less fortunate women have received vegetable processing dishes in eastern Laghman province, an official said on Friday.
Agriculture Department Director Mawlvi Mohammad Wali Mohsan told Pajhwok Afghan News vegetable processing and jam making appliances worth 4.5 million afs were provided by the UNDP.
He said every vulnerable woman was provided 16 types of appliances worth 35,000 afs which will be used for making achar and jam at their homes and then they will sell it in the market.
He said these women will be able to support their families economically.
Women who received the aid were happy and asked for a proper marketing for their products.
One of these women who wished not to be named said in the past she was making jam and achar at her house but she did not have proper equipment.
She demanded a proper market for her products in Laghman and outside Laghman province.
