KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Some residents of the Sher Khan Port Commercial Township have complained against the low quality of telecommunication networks and said their services were down and they had to use the SIM Cards of companies from neighbourin Tajikistan.
Shabir Ahmad, the resident township told Pajhowk Afghan News, most people in this port were busy in business activities and they direly needed internet for communication.
He asked government and relevant institutions to address this issue. “Sher Khan Port is an business point between Afghanistan and Tajikistan, the entire business rely on internet here and access to quality internet was necessary here.”
He said people in this township are sometimes use the SIM cards of Tajik companies because local companies quality is very down.
Amanullah, another resident of the township, said: “Our main problem is that telecommunication companies in Sher Khan port are not properly working we are forced to use Tajik companies SIM cards to resolve our problems.”
Kunduz Communication Director Abdul Wajid Adel acknowledged communication related issues and said: “Public complaints are relevant, there are telecommunication issues still not resolved. Right now we have two sites where 3g is working and we are trying to activate some 4g sites.”
