PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): The strategic Salang highway was reopened for small vehicles carrying patients and deceased on Wednesday after remaining closed three days due to a fire incident that killed and wounded dozens of people, officials said.
Baghlan police spokesman Maulvi Sher Ahmad Burhani told Pajhwok Afghan News that the Salang tunnel was reopened for small passenger vehicles according to the information provided by the Salang highway monitoring and maintenance department.
Baghlan traffic manager Qari Nazirullah Abidi also told Pajhwok that the Salang Highway has been reopened for small passenger vehicles.
