KABUL (Pajhwok): Turkmenistan says it will renew electricity contract with Afghanistan for the next year and would accelerate the completion of Noor Aljihad substation in Herat province.
Noor Aljihad substation is situated in Herat province and the Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat (DABS) signed an agreement with Turkmenistan to enhance the capacity of substation from 110 kilovolt to 220 kilovolt. After its work completion 100MW electricity would be transferred to Herat from Turkmenistan.
According to the DABS, in August an agreement was reached with Turkmen side regarding the Andkhoi-Shiberghan-Pul-i-Khumri 500 kilovolt lane that Turkmen side will provide . . .
