FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Three security personnel, including the police chief for northern Badakhshan province, were killed and two others wounded as a result of an explosion on Monday, officials said.
Director of Information Mahazuddin Ahmadi told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place near the gate to the police headquarters at around 8:20am.
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, confirmed the killing of the Badakhshan police chief in the bombing.
