KABUL (Pajhwok): China’s Chamber of Commerce representative during a meeting with Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) head said his country is ready to invest in Afghanistan energy sector and generate 500 megawatts of electricity from coal.
The power utility in a statement said DABS chief executive Mullah Mohammad Hanif Hmaza met with the China Chamber of Commerce (CCoC) representative in Kabul.
The Chinese official said China has experience in producing electricity from coal in eleven countries around the world, and that they are ready to install technical equipment and teams in Afghanistan.
