Prince Harry confesses killing 25 Taliban during his mission in Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): British Prince Harry has acknowledged that he killed 25 Taliban fighters during his mission in Afghanistan in 2012-13, according to a media report on Friday.

Harry disclosed the figure in his upcoming autobiography “Spare,” according to British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, which said it obtained a copy of the Spanish version of the book ahead of its official release slated for Tuesday, January 10.

“My number is 25. It’s not a number that fills me with satisfaction, but nor does it embarrass me,” Harry reportedly writes. In another section, he is quoted as describing Taliban insurgents as “chess pieces” taken off the board, rather than people.

Reacting to the news, Islamic Emirate Deputy Spokesperson Bilal Karimi said: “The recent confession by British Prince Harry, that he brutally killed 25 of our countrymen during his mission in Afghanistan, shows that such crimes are not limited to Harry alone. But every occupying country has a story of such crimes in our country.”

He added: “Unfortunately, the Western world, which considers itself to be the defenders and champions of human, But in practice their moral stood at this level.”
