KABUL (Pajhwok): The United States provided $60 million in humanitarian assistance to the Afghan refugees in Pakistan and the host communities.
US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome said on Thursday: “In Fiscal Year 2022 alone, the US provided nearly $60 million in assistance to the refugees and their host communities.”
In a statement, the ambassador said “The United States is grateful to Pakistan for generously hosting Afghan refugees for more than four decades, and we are proud to continue our support for this cause.”
The assistance helped increase school enrollment for Afghan and Pakistani children in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan . . .
