KANDAHAR (Pajhwok): Thirty-six people who lacked resources to protect themselves from freezing cold have been rescued in various districts of southern Kandahar province, an official said on Friday.
Haji Zaid, the spokesman for Kandahar governor, told Pajhwok that the provincial government had dispatched medical and aid teams to all districts to rescue people who had no means to protect themselves during the ongoing cold wave.
He added the rescued individuals included 15 children who were in serious danger due to the cold in Nasro Karez area and were shifted to the clinic.
