JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The residents of Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, and some districts have complained against the low quality internet and communication service of telecom companies in the province.
Relevant officials, however, pledged to resolve the existing issues in the telecommunication sector.
Naqib Ahmad, the resident of Jalalabad City, told Pajhwok Afghan News, the telecommunication companies’ services not good and its internet service is bad.
“The services of telecommunication companies are down in Jalalabad City which is the provincial capital, it is worst in the districts,” he said.
He said most of the time when he contact his friends or relatives the communication incurred interruption or most of the time it cut off randomly.
Mohammad Hakim, the resident of Hisarak district, told Pajhwok Afghan News there were a lot of problems in the telecommunication sector in the rural areas.
“There is not telecommunication service in Sherzad and Hisarak districts and due to this issue public issues are not surfaced,” he said.
Mawlavi Zabihullah Zaki, director Information Technology and Telecommunication, acknowledged the low quality service of telecommunication companies in some districts and said they were working on a plan on the bases of which the telecommunication issue of people in Jalalabad and districts would be resolved.
Besides Salaam Network which a government company, four more private telecommunication companies are functional in Nanagarhar, but people are complaining against its service.
