6 die as 120 fall unconscious due to gas leaks: MoPH

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health on Sunday said 120 people were brought to hospitals across the country after falling unconscious due gas leaks in their homes during the past one week and six of them have died.

MoPH spokesperson Dr. Sharafat Zaman said this on his Twitter page and asked families to pay serious attention to gas heaters before going to sleep.

A severe cold wave has gripped central, some northern and northwestern provinces over the past two weeks, causing many problems for people.

According to Pajhwok reports, the freezing cold has so far killed 88 people and 70,000 household animals.
