KABUL (Pajhwok): A major Muslim bloc has urged the caretaker Afghan government to reopen secondary schools and universities for girls.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also asked the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to enable female students to enroll in all levels of education.
On Saturday, the IEA directed universities across the country to exclude girl students from appearing in entrance exams this year.
While reacting to the latest decree from the caretaker government, the grouping expressed its disappointment over move, which has shocked women seeking higher education.
