HERAT CITY (Pajhwok):Security guards will be assigned to protect historical monuments in western Herat province, an official said on Wednesday.
Mohibullah Khubaib, the commander of (012) unit of the Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoIA), who visited Herat province, said some security guards will be assigned to guard the historic monuments of Herat province.
The Islamic Emirate paid special attention to protecting heritage sites and assigning guards to protect such places was important, he said.
