KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) says 175 people lost their lives and another 30 others have been injured due to cold weather, gas leaks and rains across the country.
ACRS head Maulvi Matiul Haq Khalis in a video message, said round 80,000 household animals also died of extreme cold.
He said currently around 10 million people in the country needed urgent assistance. He has asked the international community and aid institutions to take necessary measures to prevent a human catastrophe
