PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Five people were wounded on Sunday when an explosion occurred in the capital of southwestern Balochistan province.
The explosion happened near the Quetta Police Lines, according to a rescue official, who said the injured were evacuated to hospital.
Dawn quoted Zeeshan Ahmed, an Edhi worker leading the rescue mission, as saying police had arrived at the site and cordoned off the area.
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), claiming responsibility for the blast, said security officials were the target.
